Everyone who's assisted by a service dog has been in some sort of access dispute. The knowledge about the ADA just isn't there for the general public, so we end up having to defend our rights against some very unfriendly assumptions. In order to help everyone to be as understanding and supportive as possible, please include all of the details of your access dispute- everything from the way your dog was behaving and dressed to the tone of the people you talked to to how it made you feel. If you were denied access for a valid reason, then don't expect support. If it was a truly illegal access issue, everyone should be supporting you and not looking for a way to blame you. If you don't know if someone did something to bring an access issue upon themselves, ask for clarification in a non-threataning way.
